Burning Ridge is a favorite host to many Myrtle Beach golf tournaments throughout the year, and we run more tournaments than most golf courses in the Grand Strand area. We take great pride in being a host course for the World Amateur Handicap Championships every year. We are big believers in serving the community, and our numerous local tournaments have become staples on the golf calendar; they include a few large seniors groups that come out four or five times a year and play as a tournament, memorial tournaments, and Coastal Carolina University (CCU) fraternities’ and organizations’ charity tournaments. When CCU’s Hackler course is out of commission, the school’s golf team uses Burning Ridge for practice.
Burning Ridge Golf Club Summer Fun!
Burning Ridge is alive and well during the summertime! We have started a summer golf league on Sunday afternoons co-sponsored with nearby Coastal Ale House. Prize money and coupons for half-price entrees at Coastal Ale House after the event are in play! Sign up for our golf tournaments at Burning Ridge or at Coastal Ale House.
Summer fun also includes a weekday “shootout” and 2-man scrambles.
Burning Ridge Golf Club formed a Members’ Golf Association, which consists primarily of our Cart members, as a way for the many groups to unite and get to know each other. They enjoy a full schedule of 16 tournaments throughout the year. The culmination is the 3-day Ryder Cup Format – Net Match Play for the top 18 players. A small buy-in fee collected at the beginning of the year is used exclusively for prizes and celebratory dinners. Our “Player Development Program” is also available for this member group.
