Burning Ridge Golf Club employs some of the finest Myrtle Beach golf pros. Meet our staff below:
General Manager/Head Professional Zack Atkinson, PGA, was born and raised in South Carolina. Parents Bill and Derry Atkinson started Zack in golf at a young age. Zack began playing for the Hartsville high school golf team in 8th grade; he began working in the golf industry at 15 and has held a job in golf ever since.
After graduating high school he knew he wanted to pursue a career in golf, so Zack decided to go to Coastal Carolina University for the Professional Golf Management Program. While in Coastal Carolina, he interned at the Country Club of SC and Pine Lakes and then graduated Coastal Carolina in May of 2016 with a Bachelors in Business Management and a “Class A” PGA classification. After graduation, Zack was promoted to the 1st assistant at Pine Lakes; eight months later he was promoted to the 1st assistant at Myrtle Beach National golf club until acquiring the position as General Manager/Head Golf Professional at Burning Ridge Golf Club.
Mark Prince, Superintendent, is a born and bred local who has been in the golf business for over 20 years. A longtime Superintendent, he helped make Burning Ridge an award-winning course. He is a member of the Golf Superintendents’ Association of America (GSAA).
Mary Jo Quinn, Food & Beverage Manager, retired to Myrtle Beach in November 2012 with husband of 38 years, Bill, leaving behind in New York three sons and three daughter in-laws. Mary Jo also has five grandchildren (3 girls and 2 boys) who are the loves of her life.
Mary Jo started working at Burning Ridge in August of 2013 part time in Food and beverage department, transferred to Grande Dunes HR Corp Office and worked there for two years when we became the Founders Group.
After being in an office again, she wanted to go back to F&B and became the F&B Manager at Grande Dunes. In March of 2019 Mary Jo became the F&B Manager for both Grande Dunes and Burning Ridge.
In June of 2019 Mary Jo decided to take on just Burning Ridge in order to really help grow the F&B department. Since then we have started a
Friday night Happy Hour and are trying to get Members and non golfers more involved with the Club House.
