Burning Ridge Golf Club employs some of the finest Myrtle Beach golf pros. Meet our staff below:
General Manager/Head Professional Steve Ubl graduated with honors from the Golf Academy in 2012. Three days after graduation Steve was recruited to work at Burning Ridge, first as an Assistant, then First Assistant, and now, as of August 2014, GM/Head Professional.
An Air Force “brat,” Steve was born in Montana but grew up mostly in Rockville, Maryland, north of Washington, D.C., spending some of his childhood in Myrtle Beach, at the former Air Force Base. He moved to Myrtle Beach in 1996.
Steve picked up golf for the first time in high school and excelled enough to get on the golf team, but tennis was his primary sport. Living in Myrtle Beach helped make golf his main passion.
Steve met wife Kelly in Myrtle Beach in 1996 when they both worked at an area attraction. They got married in 2004. Steve is dad to three: a nine-year-old boy, Tristan, a four-year-old girl, Raigan, and a grown stepdaughter, Hannah. Kelly works as office manager at a chiropractor’s office. Steve’s parents have moved to a neighboring community, and they help out with the children.
Mark Prince, Superintendent, is a born and bred local who has been in the golf business for over 20 years. A longtime Superintendent, he helped make Burning Ridge an award-winning course. He is a member of the Golf Superintendents’ Association of America (GSAA).
Cindy Bingham, Food & Beverage Manager, is originally from East Providence, Rhode Island, and has lived in the Myrtle Beach area for about 20 years. She came on board at Burning Ridge as F&B Manager in 2013.
